I got excited when I saw the preview for Who Killed the Electric Car? before An Inconvenient Truth (which is actually scary). I actually wanted to build an electric car when I was 15-17. I had a not-so-great running vehicle to mess around with- but was lacking money and know-how to convert it. I had an electric remote-controlled car (RC-10) though. I find it interesting that electric and gasoline-electric hybrid cars are really an old idea.
